Come sit with us and let’s break down the basics of how to find your perfect salon setting, including questions to ask your future employer and understand what to look for to ensure your career has the best chance to thrive.
We will get to chat with Kharma salon owner Kirstin Lebrun who will help you dissect what it means to be a commission stylist, as well as her tips and tricks to maximizing your tax return. She will also give you tips to going from an hourly stylist to a thriving commission stylist quickly and efficiently. This course is designed to help you reach your service goals and make your income thrive.mBy the end of the day, you will have a stronger understanding of what it takes to work full time as a stylist, tips to increase your income, and all our best kept secrets to building and maintaining a clientele. |
Join us in the afternoon as we bring in elite extension stylist Kenzie Clegg. She will briefly touch on the variety of extensions that can be offered and will share her personal story on niching in this industry over the past 13 years.
Kenzie works exclusively with Kesh extensions and will be offering a certification course in the new year. She is available for all extension related questions! This is a sit down and chat setting where we will have an open-floor concept to answer any questions that arise during the day. For all business classes, please bring a notepad and pen. |

Come perfect your beach wave, bouncy blow outs and curly styles in this intensive finishing day where we will work on live models to give them styles people will crush on. We will also cover post appointment posing tips to capture the hair for your online portfolio. Afternoon special guest and curly hair master stylist Chrissy Dugas is joining us to show her tried and true methods of washing and styling curly hair! This look and learn portion will give you an insider’s perspective of how to give your curly hair clients the love they deserve!
The last moments you are with your client can be the most impressionable. How you finish the hair you’ve designed speaks to how the client can feel after they leave the salon. *You will need a model for this class |

Teasy lights, baby lights, chunk life; but what do they all mean? Come join us in a hands-on class as we master foil placement, foil technique and application together. This course is designed to help you avoid unintentional chunks and master the understanding of when to baby light and when to slice. We will also touch on the basics of The Root Melt but will go more in depth on that during the Basics of Balayage.
We will show you tips to solving the most common colour mishaps that can happen to all stylists (ex. Fixing foil bleeds), and help you understand how to tackle the evolving trends of hair colour! We are determined to help you craft hair colour that your clients will swoon over. *mannequin heads can be provided at a reduced rate |

Whether you are new to the industry or new to balayage, we are here to help! Join us in this hands-on class as we cover the ins and outs of balayage, foilyage and teasylights and help you grasp a more solid understanding of the intricacies of this popular trend.
We will dissect the differences between blurred and blended balayage and intentional and dimensional balayage, and how to achieve both effortlessly. We will also cover techniques to mastering the reverse balayage and share our tips in adding lowlights back into blonded hair effectively. This is where we deep dive into the details of what it takes to increase your service value, perfect your consultation skills, and build your online presence. Special guests Tressa Yanchuk, Jess Munro, Kirstin Lebrun and Tarah Gatsi will be joining us in the afternoon to talk about their experiences behind the chair and online, so bring your questions and let’s have a chat!
